Setting up your Tall Club members site

Everyone really wants you to get the most out of being a Tall Club member. Thus we strongly recommend you spend a few minutes to set-up your user control panel, learn some of the neat features and use them so you do not miss out on anything or anyone.

 

1) Set-up your alerts.

 

Alerts are emails sent to you if something new is added to the geographic area, topic, event or country you choose.

 

You set your alerts at the bottom of each page  If you see this . It means you have no alert set. You set the alert by clicking on subscribe topic next to the red dot.

 

The alert system will email you ONCE when something new happens where you set your alert.  It will not send a second alert until you login again. The alert is then re-set.

 

You remove alerts by clicking on unsubscribe forum.

NOTE:  if you set event alerts they are automatically deleted once the event is taken off the site! Countrywide alerts are NEVER automatically deleted.

 

2) Set-up or change your user control panel.

Click on: User Control Panel (located near top left)

LOOK: at each section and set them the way you want.
NOTICE: the grey tabs you can set what's in them too.

 

CHECK  Overview > Manage subscriptions (grey tab) You will see yourself subscribed to ????  These are your alerts.

 

ALSO add tallclubs@gmail.com to your address book to help ensure alerts get to you.

 

Tips for using the Tall Club members site communication system.

 

When you post a message or reply there are topic icons you can use to tell other the type of topic, (event). As a member of the club anything you post is shown immediately. It does not need to be approved before it is on the system for all members to see.
